A Workshop on Essential for Living
Virginia Beach, VA
August 6 and 7, 2018
Dr. Patrick McGreevy will conduct a two-day workshop, which will prepare participants to use Essential for Living (EFL). That is, it will prepare them to conduct assessments, prioritize and select functional skills to teach, use scientifically-validated teaching procedures, and record learner progress in very small increments.
Essential for Living, like no other instrument, was designed for children and adults with moderate-to-severe disabilities, including but not limited to autism. In addition to autism, EFL will be effective with children and adults with Down syndrome, and even those with very disabling conditions and limited skill repertoires, including learners with Angelman’s syndrome, Microcephaly, Rett syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, Hunter’s syndrome, and many others.
